OLIUM 103H is a super, multi-grade Hydraulic Oil. It has been designed to function satisfactorily – Without change – for up to 10 years! Ordinary Hydraulic oils are generally made from cheap, naphthenic crude, refined waste or low-grade sulphur oils.
These are inadequate for Hydraulic applications.
Their viscosity is too low for hydraulic services because they have increased leakage, reduced pressure capacity, high slippage accompanied by definite loss of volumetric efficiency.
Additionally these ordinary hydraulic oils give erratic control which fails to provide the essential constant pressure needed in an hydraulic system.
Because of the low grade of oil in ordinary hydraulic fluids they oxidize readily! Oxidation in hydraulic oil leads to acidic build-up which results in corrosion of the entire hydraulic system!
Some Hydraulic oils are made from Iranian Heavy, Nigerian, Qatar and Ratawi etc.
which are the cause of a wide temperature rise, pressure drop, slow response to control and are also the cause of an increase in power (energy) usage.
These same oils are the cause of cavitation at the pump suction due to the oil type being sluggish.
Let’s face it-your Hydraulic oil has an extremely demanding job to do.
It’s main function is to transmit energy.
But, - that’s not all it has to do. It also has to lubricate the frictional areas of all the many component parts of the Hydraulic System.
OLIUM 103H serves to minimize wear and frictional energy. With Ordinary Hydraulic oils, the wear and energy is absorbed by the inability of the cheap oil to resist thermal intake.
This causes a constant rise in temperature which rapidly leads to the failure of the system.
OLIUM 103H has much greater film strength than ordinary hydraulic oils.
OLIUM 103H fortified with special metal deactivators which combat wear.
One factor generally overlooked in hydraulic systems is that the oil must also provide excellent lubricity.
This is necessary to facilitate motion and reduce the expensive power required by the multitude of frictional components in the system.
The special paraffinic mineral base used in OLIUM 103H has more ‘oiliness’, more ‘slipperiness’ than ordinary hydraulic oils.
For these reasons, OLIUM 103H will perform satisfactory-without change for up to ten years!!!
